“Shaken, not stirred.” Those are the immortal words of secret agent James Bond, 007, known for his love of women, style, and Dry Martinis. But, today, the Bond image is getting something of an update. Bollinger — which describes itself as “James Bond’s favourite champagne House” — has just launched 002, a stylishly packaged champagne celebrating the fictional character created by author Ian Fleming in 1953.

Bollinger 002 has been timed to coincide with the release of the new Bond movie, Skyfall. It is the twenty-third Bond movie to date, and comes exactly half a century after the debut 007 movie, Dr. No.

The vintage of 002 is La Grande Anné, 2002, a high quality champagne that is produced using only exceptionally high quality harvests. La Grande Anné is sometimes described as “the Prestige Cuvée of Champagne Bollinger.”

The champagne will be produced as a limited edition, and will come in a sleek black and silver presentation box in the shape of a Walther PPK silencer.
