LA fashion design company launches season with ceremonial show

Odylyne an LA-based fashion company, has launched its Spring/Summer 2013 collection at Los Angeles Fashion Week, drawing on familiar Wicca and esoteric symbolism.

Describing itself as a “blend of bohemian and vintage styles with a touch of modern, clean lines,” Odylyne’s design range from elegant lace and ruffle dresses to ancient Greek-inspired apparel. However, the company says its “designs are also deeply rooted in the hippie chic world…where female artist set trends while breaking the rules of tongue-in-cheek fashion.”

For its latest show, described by the LA Times as “standout of the first-day collections,” Odylyne created a circle on the ground out of large white candles. Models, wearing Odylyne’s Bohemian, African and Asian-inspired collection stood on the outside of the circle, looking away from it, toward the audience.

If you haven’t checked out this LA design company, then do. Odylyne brings a rare touch of elegance to contemporary fashion. You can find Odylyne on Facebook, here.
